Dona Ana County issued the following announcement on Dec. 30. 

Newly elected and re-elected officials will be sworn in at a ceremony to be held on December 30, 2020, at the Government Center at 845 N. Motel in Las Cruces.  A total of 27 elected officials will be sworn in by the Honorable Chief Judge Manuel I. Arrieta and the Honorable Judge James T. Martin. 

“This year’s ceremony will be different,” said County Manager Fernando R. Macias.  “Because of COVID-19 restrictions, we will be swearing in by appointment and virtually.”
