On March 6, 2025, Vasquez expressed concerns over current tariff policies. He stated that "These irresponsible tariffs should be rolled back - not just on cars but on all products that are driving up costs for New Mexicans." He criticized the President for creating what he views as an unnecessary problem and highlighted the negative impact of tariff uncertainty on farmers and ranchers.
In a tweet dated March 7, 2025, Vasquez announced his introduction of new legislation aimed at assisting ranchers. He wrote: "I'm proud to have introduced the bipartisan Ranching Without Red Tape Act..." The act is designed to reduce regulatory delays and provide ranchers with greater flexibility for improvements on federal leases.
On March 8, 2025, Vasquez addressed concerns regarding public land management. He tweeted: "When we weaken our public land agencies..." emphasizing the importance of maintaining strong public land agencies to protect cherished lands.
