Rep. Gabe Vasquez, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Mexico’s 2nd district, has been vocal on various issues through his recent tweets. Vasquez, who replaced Yvette Herrell in 2023, shared his perspectives on tariffs, ranching regulations, and public land protection.

On March 6, 2025, Vasquez expressed concerns over current tariff policies. He stated that "These irresponsible tariffs should be rolled back - not just on cars but on all products that are driving up costs for New Mexicans." He criticized the President for creating what he views as an unnecessary problem and highlighted the negative impact of tariff uncertainty on farmers and ranchers.

In a tweet dated March 7, 2025, Vasquez announced his introduction of new legislation aimed at assisting ranchers. He wrote: "I'm proud to have introduced the bipartisan Ranching Without Red Tape Act..." The act is designed to reduce regulatory delays and provide ranchers with greater flexibility for improvements on federal leases.

On March 8, 2025, Vasquez addressed concerns regarding public land management. He tweeted: "When we weaken our public land agencies..." emphasizing the importance of maintaining strong public land agencies to protect cherished lands. His team member Eli Baca participated with advocates supporting this cause.
