Doña Ana County Salutes the Gadsden Independent School District

This week, Doña Ana County salutes one of our key partners in their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the Spring and Fall semesters, the Gadsden Independent School District (GISD) team partnered with the NM Department of Health to provide vaccinations in Santa Teresa, Chaparral, and Anthony (on a rotating basis) every week. They vaccinated people affiliated with the schools, as well as anyone who desired to be vaccinated. In addition to making their facilities available, GISD also provided the staff for the vaccination Points of Distribution, from traffic control to scribes and vaccinators. GISD has been a key player in communicating with parents about vaccination opportunities throughout their district. They have been instrumental in reaching key areas in the southern portion of the County.

Doña Ana County salutes the Gadsden Independent School District. Thank you for being a key point of distribution for much needed services in the community!
