A fire damaged a vacant building on the 1700 block of W. Hadley Avenue in Las Cruces on April 5, 2025. The incident occurred just before 4 p.m. on Saturday, with firefighters encountering heavy flames upon arrival.
Witnesses mentioned seeing someone inside the building; however, a search by firefighters found no individuals present. Firefighters brought the fire under control within 25 minutes, and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and no damage estimates have been provided at this time.
