Residents of Brittany Estates and Estados Serenos will encounter a planned water outage on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. The outage, part of a sewer extension and water line replacement project, will occur between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on specific streets.
The affected streets are Vista Cuesta between Agave Drive and Camino Real, Camino Real between Bristol Avenue and Broadmoor Drive, and Agave Drive between Spanish Trail and Camino Real. Adjacent areas might also experience interruptions. Notices via door hangers will alert residents 24 hours in advance if their street is scheduled for the outage.
Once water services resume, discoloration might be present due to deposits of iron, manganese, and calcium. This water remains safe for consumption, but officials suggest postponing laundry until clarity returns. Discoloration is expected to dissipate within 24 hours. If it persists, residents are advised to flush cold-water faucets for five minutes and contact Las Cruces Utilities Dispatch at (575) 526-0500/TTY 711 if the issue continues.
