The 2022 Doña Ana County Summer Internship Program is coming to a close and we would like to thank all of the students, businesses, and coordinators who participated this year!
With over 850 student interns gaining paid work experience and 300 local employers receiving additional staff - at no direct cost to them - we sincerely appreciate the opportunity to facilitate this successful mentorship program!
Funded by the New Mexico Public Education Department (PED), student interns earned $13/hour, up to 200 hours total for the program. Interns were placed with local government agencies, non-profits, hospitals, technology, transportation, and catering businesses, just to name a few. This brought in $2.7 million dollars to our economy funded by the PED!
We hope the students enjoyed their work experience and learned some valuable life lessons. Let's do it again next year!
