This week, Doña Ana County salutes one of our key partners in their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The New Mexico Department of Health staff has provided an average of 15.9% of all vaccinations in New Mexico. In Doña Ana County, however, the public health effort has been much greater, with an estimated 40% of all vaccinations given in the County being tied to the Southwest Region Department of Health team. They have held vaccination Points of Distribution (PODs), served as a hub for vaccine storage and delivery, coordinated and trained outside resources, and provided data and statistics to guide decision making. Their nursing staff continue to assist other vaccine providers daily.
Doña Ana County Salutes the New Mexico Department of Health. Thank you for your commitment to protecting the County residents and for your ongoing efforts to educate to ensure better health outcomes.
