Behavioral health providers, local leaders and advocates came together last week to celebrate the new resources available through 988 and the beginning of a transformation to our behavioral health crisis response system. There were close to 100 people on the north lawn of the Doña Ana County Government Center, all excited about the opportunity.
The event included speakers from each of the three components of the crisis response system – 988 call center, mobile crisis response, and the Doña Ana Crisis Triage Center. The event highlighted how these three services are working together to transform the way we respond to behavioral health emergencies. Local behavioral health providers also attended and were able to demonstrate how their services connect to the new crisis response services, and together provide a comprehensive behavioral health system.
