From March 21, 2023 post.
Staff from the Doña Ana County Animal Control, Codes, and Finance Departments were in Butterfield last week providing residents with information about codes enforcement, zoning issues and community resources.
The "Community Knock and Talk" program is the first part of Operation Community Sweep - an intensive cleanup effort to enforce county environmental, animal control and building ordinances, one community at a time.
We will return to Butterfield on Saturday, March 25 with roll-off containers to help dispose of trash. The Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley will be joining us to provide educational material as well as canine (DHPP) and feline (FVRCP) distemper vaccines at no cost. Residents will also be able to give their pets a rabies vaccine and microchip for $10 each.
