From March 22, 2023 post.

Doña Ana County partnered with Casa de Peregrinos (Emergency Food Program) and the State of New Mexico to acquire an electric vehicle (EV) that will deliver food in communities throughout the county. EVs reduce gas emissions to the environment, have lower maintenance costs, reduce noise pollution, and tend to last longer than gas vehicles. On average, this EV can travel between 100-120 miles on a single charge depending on weight, road grades, and speed.

This is just another example of how Doña Ana County is committed to protecting the environment and using taxpayer contributions to serve our community better.
