New Mexico State University’s Cooperative Extension Service in collaboration with FS Global Group will host a virtual certification course designed for operators, managers, and supervisors of commercially canned acidified food processing operations. The course, tailored for those in the region and Latin America, will be conducted in Spanish.
The workshop will offer two options, as detailed by the organizers. Participants will need to purchase a textbook available through the Consumer Brands Association website. The registration fees encompass a digital certificate of completion and relevant technical information.
According to the organizers, the "Better Process Control School – Acidified Foods Certification" option will provide participants with insights into the principles and practical application of FDA guidelines. On the other hand, the "Better Process Control School – Complete Training and Certification" option is a more comprehensive program that equips learners for various roles within processing operations.
To enroll or gather more information about the certification course, interested individuals are encouraged to reach out to Luis Sabillón at lsabillo@nmsu.edu or 575-646-1766. Additional details can be found on the official workshop website at https://foodtech.nmsu.edu/workshops/bpcs.html.
