The New Mexico State University Board of Regents has announced changes to their upcoming meeting schedule. In a recent statement, the board revealed that the regular meeting, initially planned for Thursday, May 9, has been canceled. Instead, a special meeting has been arranged for the same day.

According to the board, "The regents will instead hold a special meeting at 10 a.m. May 9 via Zoom." The decision to switch to a special meeting format indicates a shift in the board's agenda and priorities for the scheduled date.

In compliance with regulations, the online meeting will be livestreamed for public viewing at the specified link. Interested parties can access the livestream at https://regents.nmsu.edu/regent-meetings/. Additionally, copies of the agenda will be made available at least 72 hours before the meeting on the same website.

The Board of Regents Office has also extended assistance to individuals with disabilities who may require special accommodations to participate in the meeting. Those in need of services such as readers, interpreters, or other aids are encouraged to contact the office at least three days before the meeting. The office can be reached at regents@nmsu.edu or 575-646-5997 for further information or support.

For those seeking public documents in alternative formats, the Board of Regents Office is ready to provide materials in accessible forms upon request. Whether it be agendas, minutes, or summaries, the office is committed to ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all participants.

With the cancellation of the regular meeting and the scheduling of a special meeting, the New Mexico State University Board of Regents aims to maintain transparency and engagement with the public.
