Students from various high schools in the region recently showcased their skills and knowledge in healthcare-related fields at the State Leadership Conference and competition organized by Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA). The event featured medical knowledge tests, clinical skill demonstrations, research presentations, and public health initiatives. Participants competed individually and as part of teams in areas such as first aid, nursing, medical terminology, and biomedical sciences.

Las Cruces High School earned the 2024 NMAA State Championship title. Winners at the state level will now advance to national competitions.
