Doña Ana County offers free sandbags ahead of monsoon season

In preparation for the upcoming monsoon season, Doña Ana County reminds residents that free sandbags are available for pick-up. While the weather is currently hot and sunny, residents are encouraged to plan ahead to protect homes and property from potential flooding.

Below is a list of locations where up to 10 empty sandbags are available per resident, while supplies last:

- Doña Ana County Fire and Rescue Station 1 - 601 Doña Ana School Road, Doña Ana, NM 88032. Distribution: daytime hours.

- Doña Ana County Fire and Rescue Station 2 – 1055 E. O’Hara Road, Anthony, NM 88021. Distribution: daytime hours.

- Doña Ana County Fire and Rescue Station 9 - 500 E. Lisa Drive, Chaparral, NM 88021. Distribution: daytime hours.

- Doña Ana County Fire and Rescue Station 17 - 8014 Airport Road, Santa Teresa, NM 88008. Distribution: daytime hours.

- Las Cruces Fire Station 1 – 201E Picacho Ave., Las Cruces, NM 88001. Distribution: daytime hours.

- Office of Emergency Management – 1170 N. Solano Dr., Suite O, Las Cruces, NM 88001. Distribution: 9:30 am to noon, June 24 to June 27 and July 1 to July 3.

- Sunland Park Fire Department Station 1 –1030 McNutt Rd., Sunland Park, NM 88063. Distribution: daytime hours.

- Sunland Park Fire Department Station 2 –5650 McNutt Rd., Sunland Park, NM 88063. Distribution: daytime hours.
