Doña Ana County is currently finalizing its fiscal year-end closing on June 30 and transitioning to a new financial management system. Consequently, payments for participants in the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP), including both applicants and landlords, will be delayed until July 12.

Weekly assistance checks that are typically disbursed will now be processed on Friday, July 12. Residents can expect to receive them shortly thereafter.

Eligible applicants may check the status of their applications by calling ERAP staff at 575-525-5898. Applications are still being accepted for the program, and the approval process will continue without interruption. Eligible applicants will be approved until funds are exhausted.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and would like to thank you for understanding," said Emergency Rental Assistance Program manager Mary Trail. "We are working diligently to ensure the minimum impact on households who need it.”
