The City of Las Cruces invites residents to participate in the "Know Your City Seminar Series," starting September 4 and running through November 13, 2024. The sessions will be held on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. at the City Council Chambers, located at 700 N. Main Street, except for the October 23 Utilities Open House session, which will take place at Las Cruces Utilities, 680 N. Motel Boulevard.
No registration is required, and attendees can choose specific sessions or attend all. Each session is free of charge. Participants who attend all sessions will receive recognition from the City Council.
The schedule for the seminar series is as follows:
- Session 1: September 4, Government: City Clerk and Legal
- Session 2: September 11, Police Department & Fire Department
- Session 3: September 18, City's Financial Service
- Session 4: September 25, Economic Development and Transit Department
- Session 5: October 2, Community Development and Planning and Implementation
- Session 6: October 9, Quality of Life: Museums, Libraries, and Senior Centers
- Session 7: October 16, Parks and Recreation Department & Keeping Las Cruces Beautiful
- Session 8: October 23 (at Las Cruces Utilities), Utilities Open House
- Session 9: October 30, Community Engagement/LCPD-Codes
- Session10: November6 Public Works
