Las Cruces Public Schools is seeking community volunteers to serve on a Budget Survey Committee for the upcoming fiscal year.
The committee will review data collected from LCPS’s budget survey, which will then be presented to the Finance Subcommittee in October and disseminated to stakeholders in November. Data from the survey will also be part of the LCPS Budget Town Hall meetings.
The deadline to apply for the committee is Monday, Sept. 9, 2024. Committee members will be randomly drawn from qualified applicants on Thursday, Sept. 12 and notified no later than Sept. 16. The committee aims to include a cross-section of community stakeholders to ensure multiple perspectives are considered. A total of 16 people will be selected, including four individuals from LCPS Leadership, four certified staff members, four classified staff members, and four parents.
Committee members are required to participate in three virtual meetings at the Dr. Karen M. Trujillo Administration Complex, located at 505 S Main Street in Las Cruces:
- Sept. 20 at 2 p.m.
- Sept. 27 at 2 p.m.
- Oct. 3 at 2 p.m.
