The Las Cruces Public Schools Foundation (LCPSF) is inviting public nominations for a new award aimed at recognizing outstanding contributions by LCPS employees. The initiative, known as the LCPSF Standing Ovation Award, seeks to honor those who foster an environment conducive to student and staff success.

According to the Foundation, this accolade will be awarded to individuals who embody the district's core values and contribute positively to the educational setting. Qualities considered for this recognition include community engagement, being an inspirational role model, promoting collaboration and inclusivity, making a positive impact, demonstrating innovation and initiative, and showing exceptional dedication to public education.

The award will be presented monthly at the recipient's workplace. Alongside a certificate of recognition, winners will receive a monetary gift sponsored by Nusenda Credit Union. Nominations that are not selected in one month will remain eligible for future consideration. Each LCPS employee can receive the Standing Ovation Award only once.

Nominations are open to LCPS employees, parents, students, and community members. Further details on selection criteria or nomination submissions can be found on the LCPS Foundation website.
