Two hospitals in Las Cruces are set to offer drive-thru flu shots on Saturday, October 19. These vaccinations will be available at no cost, although individuals with insurance are encouraged to bring their insurance cards, including Medicaid or Medicare.
MountainView Regional Medical Center will provide drive-thru flu vaccinations for everyone aged six months and older at the hospital’s Medical Plaza. Attendees should follow traffic control personnel and signs labeled ‘SHOT CLINIC’. Hospital staff will assist with paperwork and instructions. More information can be found on the New Mexico Department of Health's website.
Three Crosses Regional Hospital will offer vaccinations exclusively for adults aged 19 and over. Signage will direct drivers from North Main to Samaritan Drive, where additional signs will indicate the location of the drive-thru clinic on campus. Details about this event are also available on the New Mexico Department of Health's website.
The "Boo to the Flu" initiative is a collaborative effort involving NMHealth Public Health Division, MountainView Regional Medical Center, Three Crosses Regional Hospital, Las Cruces Fire Department, Las Cruces Public Schools, as well as nursing students from New Mexico State University and Doña Ana Community College.
