Las Cruces firefighters responded to a fire that severely damaged a travel trailer on the East Mesa on Monday morning. The incident occurred around 10 a.m. on Oct. 28, when firefighters were called to the 1600 block of Joshua Court following reports of an outside fire possibly affecting a structure.

Upon arrival, crews found flames coming from a travel trailer parked next to a mobile home. Firefighters quickly tackled the blaze and brought it under control within approximately ten minutes.

The travel trailer, which was being used as a residence, was extensively damaged by the fire. Fortunately, no one was inside at the time, and no injuries were reported. The adjacent mobile home remained unharmed.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
