Las Cruces library hosts "Coco" screening with marigold crafting

Las Cruces Public Libraries are hosting a screening of the Disney Pixar film "Coco" to coincide with Dia De Los Muertos. The animated movie, which celebrates Mexican culture, family, and music, will be shown at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, November 1st in the Roadrunner Room at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library located at 200 E. Picacho Ave.

The event will also include a crafting session where participants can create a Nahuatl Marigold Flower garland using Papel de Seda. Registration is recommended for those interested in the craft activity, as supplies are limited. The event will run from 12:30 to 2:45 p.m.

"Coco," released in 2017, is directed by Lee Unkrich and features actors Anthony Gonzalez, Gael García Bernal, Benjamin Bratt, Alanna Ubach, and Renee Victor. The film is rated PG and has a runtime of 66 minutes.
