Las Cruces Public Libraries is organizing a family-friendly movie marathon on Saturday, December 7, 2024. The event will feature three animated films and will begin at 11 a.m. in the Kiva Room at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, located at 200 E. Picacho Ave on Roadrunner Transit route 1.
The first film, starting at 11 a.m., is an animated movie from 2002 about an alien discovering family in Hawaii, with a runtime of 85 minutes. At 12:30 p.m., the second film from 2019 will be shown, focusing on friends trying to reunite a yeti with his family; this film runs for 97 minutes. The final movie begins at 2:30 p.m., featuring a family of explorers from a 2022 release, lasting for 102 minutes. All movies are rated PG.
Attendees are encouraged to bring light snacks to enjoy during the screenings. For specific movie titles, visitors can check the library’s online calendar of events.
Future First Saturday Movie Marathons will include themes such as spy series debuts, dancing romances, and classic films from the 1980s.
