All classes in Las Cruces Public Schools are set to begin on schedule on Wednesday, January 22. The district has confirmed that buses will also operate at their usual times.
Earlier, a cold weather advisory issued late Monday led the LCPS administration to delay school by two hours on Tuesday. This decision was made as a precautionary measure to ensure student safety at bus stops during early morning hours when wind-chill temperatures dropped to single digits.
District officials have stated they will continue monitoring weather conditions closely through direct contact with the National Weather Service in Santa Teresa.
Parents and staff are encouraged to stay informed about weather updates and any potential delays by checking official district communication channels, including the LCPS website, social media platforms, and push notifications.
