Dominic Dennison, a 32-year-old man from Las Cruces who was reported missing on Tuesday morning, has been found and is in good condition. The Las Cruces Police Department expressed gratitude to those who assisted in spreading information about the case.

The City of Las Cruces is currently developing a plan aimed at revitalizing neighborhoods around the El Paseo and S Solano corridors, situated between Lohman and University Avenues. In addition, Las Cruces Public Libraries are hosting a series of poetry discussions and crafting sessions titled "Palabras y Artesanias (Words and Crafts)," with the first session focusing on "Ancestry and Identity."

Furthermore, the Citizens Police Academy offers a tuition-free, four-week program designed to familiarize community members with the operations of the Las Cruces Police Department. The next class is set to begin soon.

Spring 2025 enrollment opportunities are available at Alameda, Cesar Chavez/Sunrise, Jornada, and Loma Heights locations for $100 per semester, with payment plans starting at $25. Interested individuals can sign up in person at these sites.

Residents curious about city operations have an opportunity to learn more about traffic light control, maintenance of ballfields, or organization of City Council meetings through various city programs.

The city's workforce development initiatives continue to support residents' career goals by offering skills training and job placement services.

The Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, December 7th, 2024 at downtown Plaza de Las Cruces.

Residents are encouraged to schedule their Pilot Relight and Safety Check early this winter to avoid long wait times as cold weather approaches. Service appointments can be made by calling the appropriate city department.

Additionally, a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Keep Las Cruces Beautiful program will take place inside the Triviz/I-25 tunnel to unveil a newly completed mural.
