A fire broke out at a laundromat on Spruce Avenue early Monday morning. Las Cruces firefighters responded to the incident around 5:20 a.m. on January 27, 2025, at the address of 1027 Spruce Ave.
Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy smoke inside Spruce Laundry. Firefighters managed to locate and extinguish the fire within approximately 25 minutes. The fire was confined to the laundromat and did not spread to adjacent properties. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and damage estimates have yet to be determined.
