A fire broke out on Thursday evening, February 27, 2025, damaging a home located on the 1300 block of Alamo Street in Las Cruces. The local fire department responded to the call at approximately 8:20 p.m., arriving to find flames and smoke emanating from the rear of a single-story house.

Firefighters faced challenging conditions that hampered their efforts but succeeded in controlling the blaze within about 45 minutes. Upon searching the residence, it was confirmed that no one was inside at the time of the incident.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries resulting from this event. However, the structure suffered significant damage from both fire and smoke. As of now, authorities have not determined the cause of the fire or estimated the extent of damages incurred.
