Registration for the Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Department's Lil' Sluggers T-ball and coach-pitch youth baseball league will open on March 27. The league is designed for children aged 4 to 10 and welcomes participants of all genders.

Online registration begins at 9 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025, and will continue until capacity is reached. For those preferring in-person registration, it will be available from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 29, at Meerscheidt Recreation Center located at 1600 E. Hadley Ave. Registration is conducted on a first-come, first-served basis due to limited space.

The participation fee is set at $50 for new players, which includes a jersey. Returning players are charged $40 without a jersey. Proof of age or a Parks and Recreation Activity Identification Card must be presented during registration.

League games are scheduled to start the week of May 12, 2025, at the Ron Galla T-ball Complex at 1653 E. Hadley Ave.

To register, obtaining a Parks and Recreation Activity ID Card beforehand is necessary. Parents or guardians must accompany their child in person to Meerscheidt Recreation Center to complete the permission form, provide proof of age with a birth certificate, and have the child's photo taken for the ID card. These cards can be obtained from Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., but not on registration dates.
