Las Cruces Public Libraries is launching beginner ukulele classes for adults, teens, and children at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library. The sessions are scheduled to begin on April 17, with lessons taking place over four consecutive weeks.

For adults and teenagers, classes are organized every Thursday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Craft Room, running from April 17 through May 8. Children's classes will occur on Fridays from 3 to 3:45 p.m. between April 18 and May 9, with these sessions held in the Roadrunner Room.

Pre-registration is necessary, with interested individuals encouraged to contact Brenda Cummings via email at [email protected] for enrollment. Given the anticipated popularity of the course, consistent attendance and dedication are urged, especially since promising students may have the opportunity to join ongoing classes. If enrollment surpasses 10 students, additional names will be placed on a waiting list for future classes.

The library can supply eight ukuleles for child participants during the course, while adults are expected to bring their own instruments. Individuals requiring disability accommodations for participation should contact the library at (575) 528-4102, TTY 711, at least 48 hours beforehand.

For further details, inquiries can be directed to Brenda Cummings, Library Assistant, at (575) 528-4102.
