Sierra County NM issued the following announcement on April 3.

New Mexico has tested 15,632 people with symptoms of COVID-19 and 495 tested positive (3.1%). Over 31 people have recovered from the virus and there have been 10 deaths in the State all having other underlying health issues. No cases have been reported in Sierra County.
STAY AT HOME. Do not get into a false sense of security. Maintain social distancing. Wash your hands often with soap and water, Try and not touch your face. Only send one person from the family if you need supplies, groceries or food from a restaurant. Please do not hoard food or hygiene products, grocery stores are open and food is plentiful in the community.
The county’s focus has been to ensure local health care facilities get critical supplies needed for this pandemic; and to provide food to the elderly, disabled or impoverished individuals or families that cannot physically go to a grocery store or do not have the financial resources to purchase groceries.
