Sierra County issued the following announcement on Nov. 24.
New Mexico has re-enacted a statewide order closing in-person services for all non-essential activities. The public health order was issued by the state Department of Health and will be in effect until Monday, November 30, 2020.
Governor announces special session for state relief for New Mexico businesses, unemployed, and more starting Tuesday, November 24, 2020. The session will include direct unemployment assistance, grants to New Mexico businesses, emergency housing assistance, and emergency food bank services.
10 new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported in Sierra County yesterday. The County now has 276 reported cases with 11,186 tests being administered along with three deaths. According to the New Mexico Department of Health website 61 cases have recovered. Reminder to please social distance, wear your mask in public and limit travel for only essential items.
