This week, Doña Ana County salutes one of our key partners in their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The United Drug Superstore, led by owners Greg and Barbara Mitchell, has been a key vaccinator in northern Doña Ana County. Considering the population of Hatch is only about 2,000 people, this small, locally-owned pharmacy’s efforts and impact have been outstanding. The United Drug Superstore team has served the equivalent of not only the entire population of Hatch, but of the surrounding towns and villages as well. On December 28, 2021, they gave their 6,000th COVID-19 vaccination! The trust they have built within the community has been instrumental in vaccinating the northern portion of the county where many residents might have otherwise been vaccine hesitant.
