Think you're up for a challenge? The Doña Ana County Fire & Emergency Services Department will be hosting a Physical Ability Test (PAT) for anyone who would like to participate. The test consists of a series of tasks designed to assess important physical abilities necessary for firefighters, but they also represent basic skills that do not require training or previous experience as a firefighter to successfully complete.
Interested? There will be two opportunities for you to test your physical abilities:
* Friday, December 9, 2022 at 3:30 p.m.
* Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
Both tests will be held at the Fire Department & Resource Training Center, located at 1430 Portland Dr. in Las Cruces. This is open to the public and waivers must be completed prior to participating. Staff will be on hand to explain and supervise.
