The Las Cruces Utilities (LCU) Internship Program has opened its application process for students pursuing associate degrees in specific technology fields. These fields include Water Technology, Computer Information Technology, Drafting & Design Technology, Electronics Technology, Environmental & Energy Technologies, Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, and Welding Technology. The program aims to provide a pathway to a career at Las Cruces Utilities for students in these disciplines.

LCU offers several benefits to successful applicants. These include the payment of tuition and eligible fees, an annual payment for other reasonable educational costs, and biweekly stipends for up to two school years to aid with living expenses. Interns can engage in 20 hours of work per week while classes are in session and up to 40 hours during breaks. This work comes with a starting pay rate of $14.25 an hour and includes benefits like housing and a meal plan. Additionally, the program offers full-time employment after graduation in the specified technology fields.
