The Las Cruces Public Libraries are offering a series of computer literacy classes throughout November. These sessions aim to assist individuals in becoming more comfortable with technology, covering topics from basic skills like using a mouse to advanced Excel spreadsheet functions. Each class operates independently, and registration is not required. Participants are encouraged to arrive early to secure a laptop for hands-on experience, though they may also bring their own devices.

Classes scheduled for November 2024 include:

- "Manage Your Files and Digital Pictures" on Monday, Nov. 4, from 10 a.m. to noon at Munson Senior Center's Meeting Room 3. This session will guide students on managing digital files and uploading photos from smartphones to computers.

- "Smart Phone Basics" on Tuesday, Nov. 5, from 2-4 p.m. at the Computer Training Classroom in Thomas Branigan Memorial Library. The class will explore various phone tools beyond making calls.

- "Internet Basics and Safety" on Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 2-4 p.m., also at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library's Computer Training Classroom. It will cover internet navigation and online safety tips.

- "iPad Basics" on Monday, Nov. 18, from 10 a.m. to noon at Munson Senior Center's Meeting Room 3. Students should bring their iPads for learning about app usage and Safari bookmarks.

- "Your Email Questions Answered" on Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 2-4 p.m., again at the Computer Training Classroom in Thomas Branigan Memorial Library. The discussion will address common email issues including sending attachments.

- Two identical "Social Media" classes are planned: one on Monday, Nov. 25, from 10 a.m.-noon at Munson Senior Center's Meeting Room 3; the other on Tuesday, Nov. 26, from 2-4 p.m., at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library's Computer Training Classroom.
