Las Cruces Parks and Recreation will host a three-day Thanksgiving week camp for children from kindergarten through fifth grade. The camp will take place at Meerscheidt Recreation Center, located at 1600 E. Hadley Ave., from Monday, November 25 to Wednesday, November 27. Camp hours are set from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The registration fee is $20 per child, payable upon registration. Meals will be provided during the camp, and participants are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle along with a pillow and blanket for rest time.
Registration opens on Friday, November 15 and continues until all spots are filled. Interested parties can register online or visit one of the following locations during regular business hours:
- Parks and Recreation Department Administrative office at 1501 E. Hadley Ave., open Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Meerscheidt Recreation Center at the same address as the camp, open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center at 1401 E. Hadley Ave., open Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center at 304 W. Bell Ave., open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
