Summer meal program begins at Las Cruces high schools

Las Cruces Public Schools has launched a summer meal program offering free breakfast and lunch to children aged one to 18. The program is available at four high school sites, operating Monday through Friday from June 6 to July 11, 2023. Meals will not be served on Tuesday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.

Children must be present and consume their meals on site. The locations and times for the meal service are as follows:

- Centennial High School at 1950 N. Sonoma Ranch Blvd.: Breakfast is served from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., and lunch is served from 10:45 a.m. to noon.

- Las Cruces High School at 1750 El Paseo Rd.: Breakfast is served from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., and lunch is served from 10:45 a.m. to noon.

- Organ Mountain High School at 5700 Mesa Grande Dr.: Breakfast is served from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., and lunch is served from 10:45 a.m. to noon.

- Mayfield High School at 1955 N. Valley Dr.: Breakfast is served from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., and lunch is served from 10:45 a.m. to noon.

The initiative aims to ensure that students have access to nutritious meals during the summer months when school sessions are not in progress.
