The Las Cruces Public Schools Foundation is offering Innovative Teaching Grants to support educators in developing creative educational programs. These grants aim to enhance the learning environment and inspire students towards greater achievement.
The Foundation encourages teachers, principals, school administrators, social workers, counselors, and ancillary staff to apply for grants that benefit individual classrooms or entire school communities. Grant amounts range from $200 to $4,999 and cover various categories including Agriculture/Horticulture, the Arts, Literacy, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), Student-centered technology, and Educational Field Trips.
Since its inception, the program has awarded more than $370,000 in teacher grants. The Foundation is committed to increasing funding by 10% annually.
Applications are open until September 29, 2023. Awards will be announced on October 6 and presented at the LCPS School Board Meeting on October 17.
Applicants can apply individually or as a team. They must develop a rationale aligning with district goals or standards with measurable outcomes. A detailed budget not exceeding $4,999 is required.
