Las Cruces Public Libraries will host its second annual Krampus Recommends Movie Marathon on Saturday, November 30, 2024. The event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Roadrunner Room at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, located at 200 E. Picacho Ave on Roadrunner Transit Route 1.

The marathon is themed around Krampus, a character from central European folklore known as Santa's darker counterpart. It will feature a selection of horror and dark comedy Christmas films rated PG-13 or R due to violence and language.

The schedule for the movie marathon includes:

- At 10:30 a.m., a film about sorority pledges hunted by demon-worshiping fraternity brothers during Christmas break.

- At 12:15 p.m., a movie focusing on Krampus himself.

- At 2 p.m., a comedy about a con artist Santa.

- At 3:45 p.m., a story of a thief who takes a dysfunctional family hostage and ends up acting as their referee.

Attendees are encouraged to bring light snacks. For details on the movie titles, visitors can check the library’s online calendar of events.
