Rep. Gabe Vasquez, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Mexico’s 2nd district, has been active on social media discussing various legislative and public interest topics. His recent tweets cover issues from agricultural permit approvals to outdoor recreation and food safety tips.

On November 25, 2024, Rep. Vasquez addressed concerns regarding the lengthy permit approval process for growers needing to repair fences. He stated: "Growers who need to repair a fence are waiting too long for permit approvals, costing them time & money." In response, he presented his bipartisan Ranching Without Red Tape Act in the House Natural Resources Committee to facilitate essential improvements without bureaucratic delays.

In another tweet dated November 26, 2024, Vasquez highlighted the economic impact of outdoor recreation: "Political stripes don’t matter when you're out enjoying the land." He noted that a new report showed the industry supported five million jobs nationwide last year and expressed enthusiasm for bipartisan efforts to expand recreational opportunities.

Ahead of Thanksgiving on November 28, 2024, Rep. Vasquez shared food safety advice with his constituents: "As you prepare your Thanksgiving feast, here are a few food safety tips:" These included guidelines on leftovers' shelf life and turkey cooking temperatures.
