The New Mexico State University Office of Experiential Learning is set to host the 20th annual Career Connections Fair on February 4-5, 2025. The event, which will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Corbett Center Student Union's third-floor ballrooms, is open to NMSU students, alumni, and community members.

Career Connections is recognized as the second-largest career fair of the academic year at NMSU. It offers job seekers and employers a platform to connect, with representatives from organizations across the United States in attendance. Among these are fair sponsors HF Sinclair, who will be recruiting for internships, co-op opportunities, and full-time positions.

“This event marks the beginning of the spring recruitment season and offers recent and upcoming graduates a platform to connect with employers from various industries,” said Patricia Leyba, director of the Office of Experiential Learning. “We hope NMSU students take full advantage of these incredible career opportunities.”

The fair welcomes all majors on both days. Attendees are encouraged to participate in both sessions and prepare by reviewing participating employers on Handshake via the OEL website or My.NMSU. Professional preparation includes dressing in business attire and bringing updated resumes. Resources such as resume reviews and interview preparation are available through the Office of Experiential Learning and the Student Success Center.

Leading up to the event, attendees can explore employer-hosted events both on-campus and virtually listed on Handshake.

For additional career preparation support, students can contact Audria Lujan at 575-646-1631 or schedule an appointment via Handshake through the Office of Experiential Learning. Alternatively, they can reach out to Yvonne Franco at 575-646-3136 or schedule an appointment via Navigate through the Student Success Center.

For more information about the Career Connections Fair, interested parties can contact the NMSU Office of Experiential Learning at 575-646-1631 or oel@nmsu.edu.
