The Las Cruces Public Schools Foundation is set to open applications for its 2025 scholarship program on January 8. The deadline for submissions is April 4, 2025. This initiative aims to assist high school graduates with tuition costs through various scholarships.
Students need only one application to be considered for all available scholarships, though each student can receive only one award. The application process requires two references, the latest transcript, answers about school and community involvement, and an essay.
This year, the foundation will grant 35 scholarships to graduating seniors, with awards ranging from $250 to $2,000. The scholarship recipients will be announced on April 18, 2025, and awards will be presented during the Senior Awards Night.
In the previous year, the foundation awarded 36 scholarships totaling $31,650. These funds are provided by endowments and contributions from community donors who support dedicated scholarship funds.
