A collision involving a vehicle and a bicycle on Alameda Boulevard led to the death of a 61-year-old man on Tuesday evening.
At approximately 7:20 p.m. on January 7, 2025, Las Cruces police and fire departments responded to reports of an accident near the intersection of North Alameda Boulevard and Harvard Drive. Upon arrival, first responders found a bicyclist unconscious with critical injuries.
The bicyclist was transported to Mountainview Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities identified him as Lorenzo Espinoza, aged 61, from Las Cruces.
