Rep. Gabe Vasquez engages constituents through art competition and teletownhall

Rep. Gabe Vasquez, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Mexico's 2nd district since 2023, recently took to social media to engage with his constituents and promote local initiatives. Born in El Paso, Texas, in 1984 and currently residing in Las Cruces, Vasquez is an alumnus of New Mexico State University.

On March 9, 2025, Rep. Vasquez encouraged high school students from his district to participate in the Congressional Art Competition by submitting their artwork by April 11th. He provided additional information through a link and QR code for interested participants. "#NM02 high school students - submit your art for the Congressional Art Competition by April 11th! The following day, on March 10, he announced an upcoming teletownhall scheduled for that evening at 5:30 PM MT. He invited community members to join him via a provided link. "My teletownhall starts in HALF AN HOUR at 5:30 PM MT! Join me at https://t.co/4MLGz39Acv ."

On March 11, Rep. Vasquez expressed gratitude towards those who participated in the previous day's teletownhall event. He assured constituents that their voices would be heard and invited them to subscribe to his newsletter for ongoing updates. "Thank you to everyone who joined, shared concerns, and asked insightful questions during my teletownhall yesterday. I will always make sure your voices are heard."
