The New Mexico State University (NMSU) Art Department is set to host a public lecture featuring two professors from Amherst College's Department of Art and History. The event will take place on March 17 at 6 p.m. in the bleachers of NMSU’s Devasthali Hall.

Lucia Monge, known for her work exploring human interactions with the natural world, will be one of the speakers. She has gained recognition for organizing Plantón Móvil, an annual "walking forest" performance that contributes to creating green spaces in cities like Lima, London, New York, and Paris.

Joining her will be Brian House, whose artistic practice focuses on concept and research. His work seeks to make audible the dynamics between human and nonhuman ensembles to explore their complex interrelationships through projects such as resonating sculptures and sensor-driven radio broadcasts.

For those unable to attend in person, a virtual attendance option is available via registration on NMSU's Zoom platform. Additional information can be obtained by contacting Carissa Samaniego at 575-646-1705 or carissas@nmsu.edu.
