The Board of County Commissioners has proclaimed August 7-13 as "National Health Center Week" in Doña Ana County!
For more than 50 years, Community Health Centers have provided high-quality, affordable, comprehensive primary and preventative health care in our nation's underserved communities. Community Health Centers also reduce the overall cost of care by helping manage patients' chronic conditions which keep them out of more expensive healthcare settings like hospital emergency rooms.
Locally, the Doña Ana County Health & Human Services Department funds and works collaboratively with federally qualified health centers run by Ben Archer Health Centers, La Clinica de Familia and Amador Health Center. Together, the Centers provide medical, dental and behavioral health services to the underserved population. They also provide transportation and assist individuals with enrollment into health coverage.
Doña Ana County would like to thank all local Community Health Center staff members and we celebrate their vital role in shaping the past, present, and future of our community's healthcare system!
