The City of Las Cruces is inviting public input on projects, goals, and strategies aimed at revitalizing the neighborhoods and corridors between Downtown Las Cruces and New Mexico State University. The El Paseo Road and S. Solano Drive Metropolitan Redevelopment project area presents a significant opportunity to transform this part of the city into a pedestrian-friendly area with an emphasis on sustainable development and equitable growth.

The objectives extend beyond commercial and retail revitalization, focusing on a comprehensive approach to urban renewal that includes infrastructure improvement, environmental sustainability, social equity, historic preservation, public safety, and health.

City officials are encouraging residents to participate in a five-minute survey to share their views on which projects and programs could be most transformative for the MRA. The survey will remain open until Friday, January 10, 2025. Residents can access the survey in English or Spanish through provided links.

"The City of Las Cruces is working on a plan to reimagine and revitalize the neighborhoods around El Paseo and S Solano corridors between Lohman and University Avenues," stated city representatives.
