Did you know that your tax dollars provide improvements to public safety? That’s right! A percentage of the Gross Receipts Tax (GRT) helps fund fire protection services.
The GRT and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) provided funds for the Doña Ana County Fire & Emergency Services Department to purchase six new and improved fire engines that will be deployed in our community. They may look a little different from the typical red fire trucks, but they are fully equipped to provide vital emergency services when you need them.
