From December 14, 2022 post.

The fight against driving while intoxicated is a cross-government effort involving the New Mexico State Police, the New Mexico Department of Transportation, the Governor’s Office, and local and county police departments across New Mexico. Locally, we would like to acknowledge Deputy Leticia Lopez with the Doña Ana County Sheriff's Office.

Deputy Lopez had 16 years of law enforcement experience prior to joining DASO in March 2021. She was initially assigned to the Patrol Unit and then joined the Traffic Division in January 2022. Her current duties include traffic enforcement, crash investigations, and DWI enforcements. From January 2022 to October 2022, Deputy Lopez had a significant impact on ensuring the safety of our residents by arresting a total of 34 drunk drivers!

Please help us congratulate Deputy Lopez for her commitment to deterring impaired drivers in Doña Ana County!
