Citywide fall and winter outdoor watering restrictions began on October 1, 2024. The restrictions during the day have been lifted.

The new schedule allows residents with even-numbered addresses to water their vegetation on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Those with odd-numbered addresses can water on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. No watering is permitted on Mondays.

The Las Cruces Utilities Water Conservation Program has set up a recorded voicemail hotline at (575) 528-4444 for reporting water waste. Reports can include:

- Watering on the wrong day,

- Water leaving or ponding on the property,

- Not using a bucket and shut-off nozzle to wash vehicles or pavement.

Residents are asked to provide details such as the day, time, location, or address when calling. Las Cruces Utilities encourages residents to use water wisely to conserve it for future demand.
