Las Cruces Public Libraries is set to host a Tai Chi for Health class on Tuesday mornings starting October 15. These free sessions will begin at 9:15 a.m. and take place in the Roadrunner Room at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, located at 200 E. Picacho Ave., along Roadrunner Transit Route 1.

Tai chi, an ancient Chinese art form, is known for integrating the mind, body, and spirit. It is recognized as one of the most effective exercises for promoting a healthy mind and body. While it requires knowledge and skill, tai chi can be easy to learn and quickly provides health benefits. Many practitioners continue with tai chi as a lifelong journey.

Esther Minick will lead the weekly classes aimed at improving arthritis symptoms and aiding in fall prevention.

Participants needing disability accommodations are advised to contact the library at (575) 528-4102 at least 48 hours in advance.

For further details, individuals can reach out to Deanna Duffy, Librarian, by calling (575) 528-4005 or emailing [email protected].
